To close bank account

If I close my savings & partnership account, is it compulsory to give remaining cheque which is with me in cheque book. thanks.

At the time of closing your account you are required to surrender all your unusedcheque leaves. If it's seen that some cheques are missing, which you might have issued to someone, and the same are yet to be presented, bank may refuse to close your account till those cheques are presented.
