TIS and AIS mismatch

667 views 1 replies

A person sold residential property to a couple (joint buyers).  While the AIS shows the sale value correctly in the line item 'Sale of land and building', the TIS has 2 line items, viz., sale of land and building and receipts from sale of land and building.  In the 2nd line ite, (Receipts) the sale proceeds shown correctly.  In the 1st line item, the sale is reported by 3 sources - Sub-Registrar, Buyer 1 and Buyer 2.  The aggregate of all 3 is shown as sale value (ie., 3 times the actual value).  Can this error in TIS be ignored.  If not, how to correct?

Ignore it if AIS report is correct.
