i have a doubt that there are so many temples in every locality but how will one know which one is registed with 80 G ???

If they are registered they will have to make available the copy of the exemption certificate/letter.
ya exactly but i mean where is that certificate displayed or does one have to enquire them about the certificate
Dear Friend!
Necessarily you will have to enquire about their 80G exemption, that too for the current period. The reason being that, not many temples authorities are so updated with the legal requirements of the Income Tax Act and their necessity to continue their registration u/s. 80G.
In case the one for which you have made the donation and for which you are upto verifying their registration u/s. 80G; is not presently registered under 80G, then MAY GOD BLESS YOU otherwise.
