Request you to please help with one basic information.
My company deals with supply of building material.
Is TDS DEDUCTION applied to a pure supply invoice ? if not , request you to please advise if i can show my client ( who has wrongly deducted TDS on supply invice ) any section or act stating that TDs cannot be deducted on supply order.

Instead of telling them that TDS is not applicable on supply, it is better to ask them under which section they have deducted TDS on building supplies. They will automatically get trapped this way..

The problem is our invoice stated supply of Installtion Housing.
The client instead of logically reviewing the invoice is stating the mention of the word installation extracts TDS. I argued in the exact same manner as suggested by you but it made things more difficult. He in Turn is now asking me to show him in the books of tax that where is it written that TDS cannot be deducted or why he should not deduct TDS on the mention of the word installtion without checking the context.
Where do i find this detaill.
