TDS u/s194(c)&(j)

I am service professional,my employer has deducted TDS of Rs.9000 and credited to govt u/s 194(c) instead of 194(j) by ignorance/mistake.How to set right. Shall have I to tax of Rs.9000 again?194(c) is for contractors and suppliers.

1. TDS Rate on 194 J is 10% : As per this scenario, Your Income would be 90,000/- (According to TDS Amount)

2. TDS Rate on 194 C is 1% : As per this scenario, Your Income would be 9,00,000/- (According to TDS Amount)

Your employer can revise the TDS Return of that quarter, then it will automatically amend as actual.

Since your employer had erroneously deducted TDS which needs to be rectified in time because if he has short deducted your TDS then you have to pay tax on balance amount which may attract interest u/s 234A/B/C. ask him to do so.
