Tds schedule of bank

Bank deducted proportionate TDS on my STDR during transfer of deposit account to other branch in month of October 2013.I submitted Form 15H in the branch in which said account was transferred in month of October. Can I get the deducted amount back from the bank itself rather than claiming from Income tax deptt?

NO, You cant Get the TDS Deducted by the Bank back from the Bank. Because the duedate for the TDS Deducted by them under sectio 194A of Income Tax Act is Next Month 7 th. Hence the bank would have already remitted to Government Account.

Hence they wont Refund back the TDS deducted. The Only option left with you is to File the Income tax Return and You can get the TDS Deducted Back.

To know more about TDS deducted by Bank under 194A, You can refer this
