Respected Learned Gurus/Friends - I would like to know how to revise the TDS return 27Q in the case where payment made u/s 195 under DTAA (Freight Payment) - earlier there is an option select Freight Payment under DTAA - while revising TDS Return - now the Frieght option is not appearing in DTAA - Please advise how to proceed and revise the TDS return

To revise the TDS return 27Q for freight payments made under DTAA, follow these steps:

Step 1: Download the Conso File Login to the TRACES portal and request the Conso file for the relevant quarter and form type (27Q).¹

Step 2: Validate and Correct the Data Validate the data in the Conso file, correct any errors, and update the information as needed.

Step 3: Generate the Revised Return File Use the corrected Conso file to generate the revised return file in the required format.

Step 4: Upload the Revised Return Login to the TRACES portal, navigate to the "Upload TDS" section, and upload the revised return file.

Step 5: Verify and Submit Double-check the uploaded file for accuracy, then submit the revised return electronically.

Regarding the missing "Freight Payment under DTAA" option, consider the following: - *Contact TRACES Support*: Reach out to the TRACES support team for assistance with the issue. - *Check for Updates*: Ensure you're using the latest version of the TRACES utility or software.
