 Dear sir..
while submitting tds quarterly return there are option to write pannotavbl and panapplied.i just want to know that if i quote panapplied even i dont know whether person has applied for pan or not what be the consequence of this.

is there any benefit to person if i write panapplied instead of pannotavbl. any pros or cons of writing pannotavbl and panapplied as i am deducting tds @ 20%.

If pan is not available you should mention PANNOTAVBL in pan no. column. Please note you should deduct 20% tax on that, else you will receive notice from IT dept for payment of tax.

Hai,

That makes no difference when you are deducting tax @ 20%
