493 views 1 replies
My aunt received PF money of my deceased uncle few years ago and put it in FD for 3 years. This year the FD got matured and she received 260000 of interest on which bank deducted TDS of Rs 54000 approx. She has pension income of Rs 96000 per year other than this interest income. Can she claim refund of TDS and if yes, what is the procedure?

If interest is 260000 it will be taxable you can not claim refund only you have total income less than 200000 (after all deductions) you will get reimbursement by filing IT Returns.
