Quick Summary
If you've purchased virtual digital assets (VDAs) and had Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) under Section 194S, you can still claim this TDS even if you haven't sold the asset. For filing your Income Tax Return (ITR), if you have salary income and no capital gains from crypto, ITR 2 is generally recommended. However, if you have no capital gains and no other income sources requiring a different form, ITR 1 might be an option.

File ITR 2.

I have no cap. gain from crypto , I have only purchase crypto and exchange deducted tds 194S, can I file itr 2 without gain from vda and claim refund against tds deduct

YES, YOU CAN CALIM THE TDS EVEN WHEN YOU HAVE NOT SOLD IT.

MOREOVER, IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY INCOME DECLARATION FROM CAPITAL GAINS, YOU CAN FILE ITR 1.
