Can any1 please upload the new TDS rates??

Actually, i've got confusion in 194A, when payer is firm, then what is the rate of TDS..its 10 or 20??

Dear Dimple

The correct rate is 10%. There is no circular to this effect. However the evidence,the term you used, is Part II of The First Schedule,clause 2(a), of the Finance (No. 2) Act,2009.

Sec 194A

If Receipient is an Individual or HUF - 10%

If receipient is a Domestic company or Firm - 10%

w.e.f. 1.4.09, it is 10% for both individuals as well as company receipient. Before the mentioned date , it was 10.3% for individuals & 20.6% for company receipients.
