Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies TDS payment obligations for event space bookings. The organiser is refusing TDS deduction, suggesting payment under Reverse Charge Mechanism (RCM). However, RCM primarily applies to GST, while TDS falls under Income Tax regulations. If your payment is subject to TDS under Section 194C of the Income Tax Act, you are legally required to deduct it, irrespective of the organiser's preference.

If You are under the TDS deductible provisions then You must be deduct TDS as per requirements of acts...
But party said that he's not want to deduct tds and pay reverse Charge...
What is reverse charge??
Tax paid by him against service we have used
Are You saying GST Tax (reverse)?
Yes RCM
GST & Income Tax both are different and do not confusing with TDS matters...

You will deduct TDS on the value...
But party said that we don't want to deduct tds you should pay RCM
Better to follow provisions, not for party's guidance...
RCM concept/rules is under GST.... TDS concept/rules is under Income Tax... Both are different taxation as IDT & DT. No more questions if provisions applicable...

TDS needs to be done by the person making payment since it gets covered u.s 194C of the IT act.
