I have paid TDS under section 196C instead of 194C for the month of Jan 2019, Is it acceptable or i have to rectify ? if i have to rectify then pls suggest me how to rectify if ?

You can change section code through online challan correction facility under Statement / Payment Tab - visit www.tds.cpc.gov.in

Login with user id, password & TAN
Click Statement / Payment Tab
Go to online challan correction facility
Change desire information like F.Y., A.Y., Section code, Minor Head, Major Head
Login with user id, password & TAN
