TDS ON SALE OF PROPERTY - INCOME TAX

TDS has been deducted by buyer on sale of property and deposited in bank. But it is not shown in form 26AS. How a saler of property can claim TDS deducted in his return of income?

Quick Summary
If TDS has been deducted by the buyer on your property sale and deposited, but it's not appearing in your Form 26AS, don't worry. You can still claim this TDS credit when filing your income tax return. Ensure the buyer has filed Form 26QB and obtained the challan for the deposited tax. Request these details from the buyer to facilitate your claim.

When was form 26QB filed?

Ask to buyer for 26QB & Challan of Deposited Tax
