Dear Experts,

I want to know that when an employee employed in two company in a Financial year than who is responsible for deduct the TDS and for what amount (i.e for total earnings on it's employee or the amount paid by itselves ). Secondly what we have to do if the employee not produce the detail of earning from previous employer.

1) Both the employer are required to deduct the TDS on the salaries provided by them.

2) It's  employee option to provide other incomes other than salary received from present employee

3) If employee provides the details of his previous employer to current employer , the current empoyer can deduct tds on such amount also, but he will show the salary which he provided only as salary paid or credited and will not include the salary of previous employer in it.
