IF EMPLOYEE DECLARED THE INCOME FROM PREVIOUS EMPLOYER THEN PRESENT EMPLOYER SHOULD DEDUCT TAX ACCORDINGLY, OTHERWISE THE PRESENT EMPLOYER CAN CONSIDER THE SALARY FROM NOVEMBER ITSELF.  i.e.TDS CAN BE DEDUCTED FOR NOV- MAR SALARY.

Obtain from such an employee Form 12 b (from previous employer) and add that to your workings towards current year TDS.

or ask the person to calculate himself his salary received during previous employment he can extract it from his pay slip etc. easily. he needs to just tell u amount received from previous employer head wise so that you can club this income of his previous employment with current period earnings. form 12b can be filled.. but my personal opinion is you should help the employee to get that form fill bcoz.. i saw a lot of  non accounting people found it very difficult to fill form 12 b.

:-)

You should deduct tds on the whole salary taken by the emploee Acccording to the form 12B from previous employer. i.e. april to march.
