Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the rules around Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) on rent payments exceeding ₹50,000 per month. It addresses a specific scenario where TDS was deducted on March 31st and deposited on April 26th. The consensus is that no interest is payable as the deposit was made before the due date of April 30th. Guidance is also provided on correctly reporting the 5% TDS rate when filing Form 26QC.

As the TDS has deducted in the month of March of which the date for the deposition of TDS is 30th April hence the Actual deposit has been made on 26th April. Hence there is no requirement of payment of any interest

Yes, No interest will charged before 30.04.2024

You hv to seduct tds.

March TDS can be deposited by 30.04.2024, Hence No interest payable
