17 March 2011Our Company has to pay a rent of Rs.25000+Service Tax @ 10.3%
so i calculted in this way
25000+2575 = 27575 is Rent including Service Tax
and the TDS on Rent = 25000*10% = 2500
and the balance of Rs. 25075 i.e (27575-2500) has been paid to the owner
is may calculations are correct
please reply me soon as i have to pay tds

Calculate tds on rent after excluding service tax…
Tds don’t deduct on service tax u/s 194I

can u please tell me the rate of TDS
for not deducting the tds at right time
and also for late deposit

1% FOR NOT TDS DEDUCTED AND 1.50% P.M OR PART OF MONTH FOR LATE DEPOSIT TDS ……..
