Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies whether Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) applies when purchasing text books or note books exceeding £25 Lakhs from a single supplier. The consensus is that TDS is generally not applicable in this scenario, as the purchase of books is considered a material purchase rather than a contract for services under Section 194C. This holds true even if you do not have GST registration or are under the composition scheme.
Here u have purchased the books which will be treated as material ...so as per act tds is not applicable...(194c).. it is only applicable if you purchased it on contract basis ...though it is in nature of material so No TDS is applicable....
