TDS Form 16 & 16A

The new forms 16 & 16A are only applicable from 01-04-2009 i.e. from F.Y. 2009-10 & A.Y. 2010-2011.

Old forms 16 & 16A will be issued for the period from 01-04-2008 to 31-03-2009.

No change in these forms will be applicable for F.Y. 2009-10.

The new form 16 & 16AA  will be applicable for F/Y 2009-2010 . As per explanation given , new form 17 (i.e. challan has been applicable from 1 April 2009 i.e. for the payment of TDS of April 2009 ) . There is no doubt about that . You can use old form 16 for the A/Y 2009-2010.....

Please clarify my quiry,  do we have to issue Form 16 & 16A in new format for the F/y 2008-2009.   Please forward me a copy of excel format.

Upto AY 2009-10 old form 16 & 16A to be used.

Please give any notification related to issuance of old Form16A for FY 2008-09.

Can I use Form No. 16 for the F.Y. 2009-10 which I used for F.Y. 2008-09 last year ? As I have to update from now onwards due to large scale of Deductees.

Plz clarify.
