Good Morning
We hired one of the Transporter he's owner cum transporter having single vehicle for goods transport services..
Now this transporter giver TDS exemption declaration in the section of Not owing more than 10 vehicles...This is applicable for GTA only or GTO also?

TDS EXEMPTION ON UNREGISTERED TRANSPORTER (GTO)

The exemption is not limited to "GTA" terminology. If your transporter is a "GTO" (owner-cum-transporter with a single vehicle) and they provide you with their PAN and a written declaration confirming they own 10 or fewer goods carriages, you are not required to deduct TDS under Section 194C.
