Tds error

Sir, You have to be more clear. ? next to the error code.  Descripttion......?  Are you thinking that the tin-nsdl.com has released any error code dictionary like....

Further please mention is it a original return or correction retrn.

i am clear i does not know the descripttion of the error code no 1039. I am asking about the descripttion of the error code and it is correction return

It must be relating to the TDS File you have uploaded in the 4th fileld of 3.3 fvu From the error messages I got while filing I got . i.e for 1038 - consolidated file not valid.

You have to contact call centre.

Before writing this to you-just I contacted but I could not get proper reply. I Tried the way I understood but could not.

On the same point I posted a question -no response.There were abou 50 hits on tgis question but no response. Let's wait..........

dear ram,
- download the consolidated file received by you through email.
- extract the zipped TDS file by entring the password (i.e. 15 digit token number) u got at the time of submitting the original TDS return

- never rename the file extacted

- start the RPU and after selecting the form No., choose the option 'correction'

- click on 'import consolidated TDS/TCS file'
- browse the .tds file which was extracted by u

- do the necessary corrections

- after doing corrections and before saving the file always 'create file' (keep ur .csi file ready)
- after generating the .fvu file successfully u can save it
- submit form 27A (if ur submitting the file in CD etc) alongwith the statistical report and copy of the original receipt.
