Hi all

I was working for Times internet ltd.

During my tenure, i got my a major illness and could not attend work for about 3 months.

Now my form 26AS shows that, my employer has paid me salaries and hence deducted TDS for the above mentioned time. But i was not paid for that time.

This has led to discrepany in my ITR as i can not treat these as INCOME.

What should i do? Please help!!!!

Please contact your employer and get this calrified. The amount may be shown in your 26AS only if they have made some payment and deducted the tax.

Thanks for reply.

I did contact my employer several time. But they are not entertaining me. I have a feeling that my salaries were released from company but ended up somewhere in between.

HR forced me to resign and now i am not working with them any more. Do i have a case, if i want to lodge a complaint against the company.

If the previus employer is not allowing you about this, you write a formal letter to them and ask them to release your salary.

In case, they do not respond, u may file your case in labour court.
