TDS- clarification on amount credited

please let me know if the amount paid/credited in Form 16A should include service tax paid to deductee.

my understanding is net of service tax is deducted and the amount shown as credited/paid is net of service tax.

kindly clarify.

thanks,

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies whether service tax paid to a deductee should be included in the amount credited in Form 16A. The consensus is that if service tax is billed separately on the invoice, it should be included. The amount shown as credited/paid in Form 16A should reflect the net amount after deducting TDS, with service tax being a separate component.

YES, PROVIDED IT IS SEPARATELY BILLED.

Yes, the service tax is added on the total payment due to vendor and is shown separately in the invoice.

Sir, I could not find relevant section from the link you had mailed me. Trust my assumption is right. As mentioned by you, the service tax component is shown separately in the invoice.

Thanks,
