Tds claim for ay 2017-18

Good Evening All,

I have 10k refund as per Form 16 for FY 2016-17. But i have not filed the return. Now i want to file the it return and claim the TDS.

Can i get the refund? if yes How to get the refund? please suggest

You have no option to file AY 2017-18 ITR

The income tax department can allow taxpayers to file returns post the deadline for specific cases. "The Central Board of Direct Taxes(CBDT) has issued a circular in this regard where if the taxpayer has tax refund pending or wish to carry forward his losses and missed the deadline of filing of tax returns, then he can file an application to the Income tax commissioner or the prescribed authority

file condonation for non filing of return.

In normal provisions no way for filing ITR AY 2017-18....

But., As per Your query you Have Refund then You can go to file Condonation delay request to Your Juristictional CIT...

After accepted the request then You can file ITR with that Request...
