Quick Summary
This discussion addresses how to correct TDS challan major and minor heads when payments have been made online. For first-time TDS return filers who haven't logged into TRACES, the process involves submitting a manual correction to the TIN NSDL centre first. Once this is done, you can register on the TRACES portal. The advice suggests that challan modifications might not be necessary, as amounts can often be adjusted between different sections (e.g., using a payment for 194i to cover 194j).

Challan need not modify challan amount can adjust with other sections
if you pay for 194i than u can use 194 j
Go for challan. perfection online on traces portal

But mam,, First time file the TDS return  in our organization....as per the rule we file the tds return in  e-filing port. So I can't login the trace account.

First time you need to submit manually to tin nsdl centre and then only you can register on traces portal.
