Dear All,
My Father in Law in joint name of my Mother in Law had created 2 Time Deposit Receipts (TDR) under Monthly Income Plan in India's Premier Public Sector Bank. He has passed away in 2010 and TDR Matured in 2013 and paid off by Bank to my Mother in Law.
In Jan-2015 we came to know that Bank has deducted TDS on these TDRs, but has not issued any TDS Certificate till now under Form 16A.
What remedy my Mo.ther in Law has as an customer and can she claim refund for all those TDS as they do not have any other income than interest and pension of Rs. 1000/-?
Pls help us with path forward.
