Tds certificate amount and 26as amount doesnot match

Sir / Madam,

I have FD's in BOI and yesterday I went and took TDS certificate from bank where it showed that my FD's have earned Rs. 22000 as interest and TDS to the extent Rs 2200 has been deducted....... but when i went to cross check it with 26AS there it only showed Rs. 9300 (approx) and Rs. 930 (TDS).

Please suggest which amount to show in my IT return as i searched on internet that only the amount showing on 26AS will be considered for refund.....even if i have TDS certificate of 2200 , only 930 will refunded..

Wait for updation of form 26AS. Final TDS as per March quarter may not be reflected on the TRACES site now.

Better to file return only in first week of June.

You may not have received tds of fourth quarter of fy 2018-19, due date to file tds return by bank is 31.5.2019, wait till time bank file its tds return of fourth quarter, balance tds that is not appearing in 26 as may have been deducted in fourth quarter.

if it not appears by 31.5.2019 then contact bank, there may be error in filing return by bank.
