If an individual has not file ITR (income was below the exemption limit). Can he claim for Tds refund and can he file income tax return of F.Y. 2011-2012 as the last date of belated return has been expired. Is there any option available to get refund?

Dear Rashmi Mam,

how did you came to point that "time for filing belated return has been expired"... the time for belated return for A.Y. 12-13 is upto 31st March, 2014 (with Rs. 5000 penalty, though normally not levied by the Dept.), thus, you can file the return upto 31.03.14 and can claim the refund and TDS...

Dear sir, so sorry... It is A.Y. 2011-2012 and F.Y. 2010-11. TDS was deducting from salary and the employee was not aware that it is refundable. Can he get the refund now? If yes then what is the procedure?

Sorry Rashmi Mam... in that case, it is not allowed..  refund and/or TDS can't be claimed now.. as the last date was 31.03.13 in that case, as rightly said by you....
