Tds by 20%

Sir,

If TDS of any person made @ 20% by the deductor  because they have no Pan . after that how can they claim said amount of TDS . kindly suggest the procedure for the same.

He or she can't claim such TDS unless he/she is having PAN no. Suppose at the time of deducting of TDS by the deductor , if deductee has not furnished the PAN , now he can do that but unless and until deductor not revise his return pertaining to such deduction , such deductee is not be able to claim his/her TDS under his/her name. Because unless you have PAN you can not submit your Income Tax return to claim TDS.

PAN No. is like bank a/c no./ PF a/c no. without which you can neither deposit / with draw cash from the bank.

First you [provide PAN No. to the bank and request them to file a correction return. Once they acknowledge filing of correction return you cn verify the same by viewing Form 26AS. If it appears then you file your return...rest as usual.
