Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies when Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) is applicable on employee salaries. Generally, if an employee's total income, after considering deductions, falls up to £500,000, TDS is not required. However, if the salary exceeds this threshold, TDS should be deducted. Filing an Income Tax Return (ITR) remains mandatory even if no tax liability exists.

No need to deduct tax at source on account of rebate u/s 87A. ITR has to be filed.

No Need of TDS

Need to file ROI even though no tax liability

If the employee salary is Rs.600000 without deductions ? what about tds part ?
No need to deduct TDS for 400000 rupees but if salary is 600000 rupees then TDS should be deducted
