fvu file need to be submitted for filing of TDS Returns. and the due date for the payment of TDS deducted on 31st march was on 31st may.

what is fvu file ?

FUV is the special format of ETDS file in which the ETDS returns needs to be submitted with NSDL

HI,

FVU file stands for : "FILE VALIDATION UTILITY"

The statement to be submitted is namely:‐

(a) Statement of deduction of tax under section 192  in Form No. 24Q;

(b) Statement of deduction of tax under sections 193 to 196D in‐

           (i) Form No. 27Q -In case of non‐resident not being a company or a foreign company or resident but not ordinarily resident; and

(ii) Form No. 26Q in respect of all other deductees.

Last date for deposit of deducted TDS is, 7th day of following of month ,in which TDS deducted but in case of 31 March it can be deposit upto 31 May.
