Tds 194q is applicable for purchase from SEZ

Hi,

I request u to clarify my doubt for purchase material from SEZ unit worth rs. 70 lac, so is it applicable Tds u/s 194q for dedication or any exceptions to SEZ

Yes, TDS u/s 194Q must be deducted even if the seller is an SEZ.

If the buyer is eligible u/s 194Q whose turnover was more than Rs.10 crore in the previous financial year, he is liable to deduct TDS when he purchases goods exceeding Rs.50 lakh in value in a year from a seller.
