Taxable or exempt
Is the income of assesse who s part of the crew in foreign ship taxable? he earns in USD.

If he is resident the it is taxable in India ...As per Sec 5 - member of crew will be resident only if has been staying in India in PY for 182 days or more
(Pls note-the alternate condition(365 days in 4 previous PYs and 60 days in PY is not available to member of crew leaving India...)
