Quick Summary
This discussion addresses whether an employer's reimbursement for cancer treatment expenses, paid via an insurance claim, is taxable. The consensus is that such reimbursements are not taxable as they are simply a recovery of expenses and not considered income. The employer likely claimed this from the insurance company, making the amount received by the employee tax-free.

If its insurance claim, it will be tax-free. Employer would have claimed it from insurance company.

Not taxable as it is not an income, only reimbursement of expenses incurred by you.
