Tax slabs

The Incom tax  Exemption Limit for Individual  (Female) have been increased to  Rs. 2,00,000/- 

This time there is no gender discrimination in budget as far as Individual Taxation Exemption limit concerned. Taxes are same for both Male and Female.

Income tax exemption limit raised from Rs.1,80,000 to Rs.2,00,000; upper limit of 20 per cent tax slab raised from Rs.8 lakh to Rs.10 lakh.

tax slabs for male & females except senior citizen is Rs. 2,00,000/- and for senior citizen it is 2,50,000/- as per union budget 2012-2013

Normal Rates of tax for resident, Man & Woman and below the age of 60, during financial

Year 2012-13

 Slab rates:

Individuals: For Male & Female

Up to 2L                                    - Nill

From 2L to 5 L                         - 10%

From 5L to 10L                        - 20%

Above 10L                                - 30%

Senior Citizens: (60-80 yrs)

Up to 2.5L                                 - Nil

From 2.5 L - 5L                       - 10%

From 5L - 10L                         - 20%

Above 10L                               - 30%

Very senior citizens (Above 80 yrs)

Up to 5L                                   - Nil

From 5L - 10L                         - 20%

Above 10L                               - 30%

Could any one tell me income tax slab of Rs. 2,00,000.00 nil for man as well as woman.

yes, no tax payable for income upto Rs. 2,00,000/- for man as well as woman as per union budget 2012-2013

Income tax exemption limit has not kept different for male and female. For both male and female it is increased to Rs. 2lacs. Government will need to manage their finance for next year as no one knows how much they will get?
