"A gov't department has procurred chemicals worth more than Rs. 20000/- from any registered supplier, now i want to know whether tds is to be deducted from the supplier's bill/invoice and issue form-D certificate by the govt dept."

dear tn dipal there is no tax deducted from any kind of purchse...

if a govt. employee has salary income below Rs.5,00,000 then there is no need of filing of income tax return & if the employee wants to file the return then he fill ITR 1.
