Hi friends,

Good morning.

I have filed my return manually for the FY:2009-10 by 31st July 2010, and

i have not got my refund yet.

Can anyone help/advise me to get my tax refund of FY2009-10?

AS PER NEW PROCEDURE YOU HAVE TO GIVE BANK DETAILS AND MICR CODE OF YOUR BANK

THEY WILL TRANSFER YOUR REFUND AMOUNT IN YOUR ACCOUNT IN 15 DAYS TIME.

THIS PROCEDURE WE ARE FOLLOWING IN OUR THANE AND VASHI INCOME TAX

APART FROM THE ABOVE YOU CAN VIEW THE REFUND STATUS FROM www.tin-nsdl.com

BY ENTERING THE PAN,ASSESSMENT YEAR BELOW. YOU PROVIDE THE COMMUNICATION ADDRESS ALSO TO THE ASSESSING OFFICER.

As said above, forst you check the status of refund in tin-nsdl site.. if it says that your AO has not processed the refund, then once check your Form 26AS from incometaxindiaefiling.com site whether due Credit has been given to your PAN for TDS, ADV tax, Self-Asst tax etc.

If it is ok as per your Return of income, then put a letter to your ITO regarding the same...

Ours is a democratic country

--where every dept. in the Govt. collects taxes by sitting in Air Conditioned Offices

--where every citizen roams around these kind of office(r)s like a beggar to get !!! is due to them.

If you know these policy you would not have asked.

If you do not want to understand this you can not follow whatever advise anybody gives in this site.

(sorry for this kind of reply -hope this will be understood in the right spirit. In Hyderabad one of my client refused to fulfil any formalities - instead ready to sacrifice the amount due to him. The same is conveyed and to remind him this message whever I go the office complex I say hello . I could not move him. This 2006-07 A.Y. case since then ............................)

First of all follow the steps told by ravi teja, if everything is ok then write a letter to Greivance Cell, Cheif Commissioner of your jurisdiction with a copy of the acknowkledgement. It will work imediately the refund will be sent to you within 15 days

you can see the 26AS .........through ur Login user name and pass word..form 26AS shall be updated every week.......

U filed it manually , then another option to get refund to meet ito and offer him some gift ur refund will dfntly credited

Hi If You have not received the refund of FY:2009-2010 till now filed manual by u, u will not get the same unless u will contact your Income Tax Ward clerk, i m telling u the practical case not the guidelines of income tax. Arvind Singh B.Com,CA Final

GOOD MORNING SIR.MY NAME IS SUMANTH FROM VIJAYAWADA,ANDHRA PRADESH...THE IT REFUND CHEQUE OF MY SISTERS HAS BEEN DISPACHED ON 03-03-2012 BEARING SPEED POST AND ....I STILL DIDNT RECEIVE THE REFUND CHEQUE TO THE ADDRESS ACCORDING TO UR RECORDS..THE REFUND STATUS SAYS WRONG ADDRESS..BUT WE DIDNT RECEIVE THE REFUND OR THE POSTMAN CAME TO THE ADDRESS..WHILE ENQUIRED IN P.O THEY SAY THAT ADDRESS WAS WRONG AND IT WAS RETURNED TO BOMBAY...NOW HOW COULD I AGAIN GET MY SISTERS REFUND BACK...COULD YOU PLEASE MENTION THE PROCEDURE??PLEASE..AND I WOULD BE VERY THANKFUL TO YOU...
