Quick Summary
This discussion addresses a situation where a 30% tax rate is applied even though the company chose Section 115BAA. It clarifies that special tax rates generally apply only to special tax income. However, this can change if exemptions are claimed under the new tax regime or new tax rates, potentially leading to the higher rate.

Special tax rate income is taxable as special tax rate only
But it can be changed if you take excemption under new rigim or new tax rates
