For only salary income, HUF is not helpful, as salary income cannot be diverted to HUF account.

Formation of HUF does not require investment by individual. It is form by nature, once a Hindu couple gets married.
For you assistance, you can gift about < 50K in HUF and start investing without any gift tax liability.
I've just formed an HUF and a bank account in its name. Can I move 50lakh from my account savings account and make investment in the name of HUF? Would there be any tax implications for the HUF from this 50lakh transfer?
