ITR 221 views 1 replies

Guyz.. Please giude me on this.

I had purchased a flat in the PY 2015-16 for which I had paid Rs. 55,00,000 to the builder deducting TDS @ 1% Rs. 55000 which was paid to the government.

Now, as per my salary income and dedcutions of houisng loan, my tax payable is NIL.

The TDS deducted Rs. 55,000 is reflecting in my FORM 26AS in part F.

I want to know whether I can claim refund of this TDS in the ITR.

Thanks.

Hi,

Since you are a buyer, the tds you have deposited is to be claimed by seller in his personal return(as that is his part of consideration)

You have nothing to do with the same in your IT return. File a Nil return.
