I have applied for change in address of TAN number on 21 may 2011. But till 30 june 2011 i have not received any tan number. TAN status shows that, it is under process at income tax deptt. I want to ask is there any procedure to compaliant against non allotment. I have also call to the number provided in the receipts. but it is also not fruitful. So plz provide me the appropriate action.

Normally new TAN no not take time but change address take time but not a time which you mension
if you visit personally to TAN department in which the application for change address is given then you get correct status
otherwise comliant
