kindly let me know when an individual is applying for TAN as Sole Proprietor for his business, he should apply as "Individual" or "Branch of Individual"? and if he has to apply as Individual, then in which field he should mention name of sole proprietorship business?

For a sole proprietorship, choose "Branch of Individual Business" if you want a separate TAN for the business; enter the business name in the designated "Name/Location of Branch" field and your personal details elsewhere, as the application is tied to your individual PAN.
