I have a query regarding viewing ledger balances in tally

the default view for any ledger in Tally 9 is Debit and Credit

I would like a Debit Credit and a Running balance.

If i press F12 and enable the same it works but not permanently.

Also I would like all ledgers to be viewed for the entire finacial year and not jus one month or other periods. Manytimes it happens that the ledger is displayed for just part of the year and i have to tediously press F2 and chage the period and then when i press Esc and come back to the ledger i have to change it again using F2.

As per my knowledge you can use F4 (Fundction 4) button to switch between ledgers. Atleast your time to change period will be saved.

Once you get running balance with the help of F12, press "save view" button on RHS. It will be your default view and sure it works.

Viewing and running a balance means tracking combine 4 names how each transaction changes an account’s total so you always know the current amount available. Start with your opening balance, then add deposits/credits and subtract expenses/debits in date order to produce a running total after every entry.
