I would be grateful for some help re: importing masters and journal transactions into tally from excel.
Where can I get templates that will convert excel data into an XML file for upload?
Do I need extra software?

The Excel file is a Macro Enabled Template to Convert.
Convertion requires conditions. Either You can get the Accounting Software personnel expert who have the tailer made templates.
You do not require extra software but a template that supports to convert Data to Tally Foramt.
