How do I extract a particular year from a tally data file.
For example if my tally data file is from 1-4-2002 to 31-3-2009.
And my auditor asks for my AY 2006-07 tally details. Since the file is too big I would like to send only the 2005-06 FY data...for this how do I extract only the year 2005-06 from my main tally data file to a separate data file which wud only contain the 2005-06 data and nothing else.

To get data for a specific Financial Year, you have to SPLIT the data in the GATEWAY OF TALLY itself by giving the period from which date to which date you want exactly. Thereafter go to the location where you have saved the same, so that you can easily export.
