Surrender of pan card
Can anyone tell me how we come to know that whether our other pan card has been cancelled..??

I applied through nsdl correction form for application of surrender of PAN and mention extra PAN card in form in point. 11 but instead of cancellation of my extra pan card they send me another pan card on old pan no.. Both of my PAN cards are active.. Now what to do.
They generally send pan card which you want to keep active with each application or correction form. The one which you want to surrender will be inactive soon. If I doesn't that contact tin nsdl or AO.
In case of death of an individual, is it mandatory of to surrender pan card?
if yes, what is the procedure?
