Surrender of cop - few queries

Hi all,

I am holding COP currently. However due to better avenues in some other business, I am planning to surrender COP.

Following are some queries:

1. Procedure? Just a simple letter along with COP is sufficient?

2. Say after a year or two, I plan to again take COP, will my firm registration no. remain same?

3. Do I have to do any procedure to cancel my firm name?

Any orher points I have to take care of? BTW, I read ICAI's note of surrendering COP but didn't find above points there.
