Supplies to SEZ by Merchant Exporter

Dear Sirs

Merchant Exporter has to procure excisable goods under CT-1 Certificate without payment of duy meant for direct (phisical) export.

But what is the procedure when he intend to supply excisable goods to SEZ unit. Kindly clarify my doubt whether "supply to SEZ" has to be treated as phisical export for procuring the excisable goods through CT-1 certificate. or any other procedure.

Thanks in advance.

Yes. Goods can be procured from a manufacturing unit for supply to SEZ on CT-1. The ARE-1 procedure will apply in the same manner as it applies to physical export.

Dear Rajesh Sir,

Thank you so much for your reply.

Dear Sir,

What compliances a Merchant Exporter have to carry in respect of FEMA.

Thanks in advance

Dear Sir,

If the name of the merchant exporter and SEZ Unit are the same then can it is considered as inter company transation or cosidered as seperate? SEZ Unit will made payments to the merchant exporter in Foreign Currency and then claim the drawback amount.

Please cofirm with any cirucul or notification.

Regards,

Ritesh Dave
