one thing where u r surely wrong is FIXED OVERHEAD VARIANCE. IT is never recovered on the basis of actual hours worked..it is either on the basis of actual output in units or standard hours for actual output multiplied by standard FOH rate per unit or standard FOH rate per hour respecively ...so foh variance will be 38000 (A) adverse & i think ur calculation for selection of machine by PRESENT VALUE INDEX is also not up to the mark ..anyway thanx for help
